Keith, our church purchased a MAGEWELL 53020 (ULTRA STREAM SDI) and have been using it for streaming Sunday services and recording on a USB flash drive to upload to UA-cam and Facebook without any issues. Someone transfers the files to the hard drive on the PC when the flash drive is full. I currently am not able to record to my flash drive. Any thoughts as why I am no longer able to record to a flash drive?

Hi, Thank you for all your effort that you put in this comparison. Did you use the same lens on all cameras? What lens or lenses? I saw that the Red cameras don't have enough resolving power for the fine details on the card. And I'm wondering if is the Red sensors or the lenses. F55 didn't have any distortions.The image is very clean and natural.

i'm curious what the latency is on this unit. i'd like to send my main camera to this device and loop through to my vmx PC. the reason I'd like to send my main camera to this vice is to put it up on our projectors But I'm wondering what the latency is.

Have you ever tested the Fujinon UA14X4.5BERD? We're really struggling with the sharpness of it from 50ft compared to our other Fujinon lenses and we're told there's nothing wrong with the lens itself. Any help would be appreciated.

Anybody knows? I have alot of DVD / BLURAY with live concerts. Just like I on do on music streamer (Bluesound) I would like tom make some playlists from my BluRay concerts. So I can make a playlist with my favour live music with picture. And play it on my TV from a USB harddisk. - Is that possible with this one, or will it accept the copy right protections?

Keith, I have a Magewell USB/SDI + capture device and we have suddenly lost audio. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. We run audio via xlr into a Blackmagic Design ATEM Television Studio HD and come out of that switcher via SDI into the Magewell. We use Livestream Studio 6 to stream. All is well with the software. No Windows 10 sound settings were changed. Picture from our cameras is excellent as usual but we cannot get sound via Magewell into the PC and software. I've triple checked all the obvious usual things that might be turned 'off'. With tech support, have ruled out any issues with the Livestream Studio software. When I plug headphones directly into the switcher to monitor sound, it is perfect. Cables are confirmed as good. Any thoughts?

Remove the mic from the cam, place it on microtripod or boom arm closer to your face, just outside the frame. Also, this is the absolutely cheapest rode mic, I use a video ntg and it's amazing.

can you help? I have the Magewell USB capture device hooked up to my Canon EOS Rebel T6i...running it to my 2019 HP laptop. When I pull up FB live or Zoom...I can see the Magewell USB option for camera...I click it, but all I get are color bars...which indicates that the computer is reading the capture device, but not the camera. Why is it not working???

I'm late to the party here, but I think the left side was XAVC. If it was top and bottom halves, I think the bottom was XAVC. It's hard to tell because the left side is more in the dark than the right and the dark sections looked blocky - especially when viewing at 1080p. It's interesting that, even when UA-cam uses VP9 encoding (as in this video), the 1080p and lower versions look quite bad (a lot of macro blocking and rough looking). I noticed this with my videos as well - I've been trying to work out what settings to use to get the best quality on UA-cam - the information around is varying and confusing. So far, I've had to upscale from 1080p to 4K and upload that, then I get VP9 encoding but only the 4K version looks reasonable - the 1080p versions always look a bit like draft quality. /end of novel :)
